Freaking Virus/Worm Coders Never Give Up

Imagine how many people will fall for this??? (unless you're anal-retentive like myself and would notice something not being properly capitalized from a commercial email)

Yeah, right! Since when does Microsoft actually attach a patch to one of their emails?

SWEET

My sister Marilyn bought Grant and myself Stars tickets for Christmas... and BOY, that game rocked some serious A$$! We scored the first goal, and then Ott had to screw everything up in the 2nd period by charging one of the Senators and getting a MAJOR penalty for it and a game misconduct... idiot! There was so much blood on the ice, it was gross. During that stressful 5 minutes, the Senators scored an easy 2 powerplay goals, and then after that another goal that really shouldn't have happened. Ugh. By then I was losing hope... 3 to 1 Ottawa. 3rd period rolls around, and suddenly the whole game turns around... we scored 4 amazing goals, which I haven't seen from the Stars for a while this season, and especially in one period, and beat the Senators 5-3. What an awesome game! BOo Yah! Parking was the best I had ever had... we were right across the street from the entrance... and I had never sat so close to the ice... any closer and it would have been even harder to see along the boards.

Baby Caitlyn

Here is my new baby sister, Caitlyn :) Isn't that a silly little face? I took this on her 1 week old birthday last Friday :)

Talk about grasping at straws... I can't believe the things people try to use as ammo to save their ass.

No Longer a Khuu

Today I officially dropped the last name I was born with. Kinda sad... but, many women (and some men) have done it for ages... so it can't be all that bad. :)

Small Ebay (or online auction site) Rant

One thing that annoys me is when an auction is described as a HUGE LOT, and when you view the auction, it's only for like 3-5 items... since when was 3-5 of anything minor, like Pez or clothes, HUGE? I can understand using HUGE LOT to describe an auction for 3-5 cars (MAYBE)... but I think it's just misleading...and there's nothing wrong with saying you have a small lot. Perhaps Ebay or other auction sites should define those terms for their sellers so that people have a better idea of what to expect before they click on a link.

It almost seems sarcastic.

Web Nursery Pictures

I was looking at babies born in the recent months on a local hospital's website... it shows the baby's name and parents names. What makes me sad is when I only see the mom's name.... what makes me even sadder is when I see twins and only the mom's name. I can't even imagine how hard it would be to raise a pair of twins on your own.

Saw BIG FISH last night... I actually have to admit I enjoyed it... of course... who wouldn't enjoy a Tim Burton flick :)

My new baby sister will be born late Thursday night or Friday! Yeehaw!

Battle Royale

Boy was I wrong when I thought Suicide Club was a screwed up movie... Battle Royale is far more screwed up beyond that. Hollywood is too PC to make movies like that. Battle Royale is yet another Japanese movie with English subtitles... so if you're okay with watching movies like that... I would recommend this one... if you're a little sick... a little twisted. :P Both movies involve either junior high or high school students, and the stories are pretty straightforward. Suicide Club didn't do much of a job explaining why things happened the way they did. I have no idea where to find Battle Royale for rent... we had to borrow it from a coworker. I generally don't watch foreign language flicks, but these two that I've run across were decent entertainment.

Hmmm.. you know your hubby needs to cut his hair some when it's starting to look longer than yours :) At least it's pretty hair :)

Phew..putting together an computer desk at 6 months into pregnancy is tough work... Good thing I'm not having to maneuver around much differently... the belly is growing, but isn't preventing me from bending or seeing my feet just yet. I wanted to be able to do it all by myself... so for the most part, I did heh. Yay =D

*OWWW... lower back pain*

Fishies!

This is what our 55 gallon tank holds now...
1 Needle Nose Gar (bought yesterday)
5 Clown Loaches
1 Elephant Nose Fish
1 Male Betta
1 Striped Raphael Catfish
4-5 Ghost Shrimp (that may be disappearing soon if the gar sees them... since the Raphael wouldn't eat them)

Daycare Hunting

Since I plan to keep working for a while even after the kid... we've decided to look at daycares... since junior will probably need to stay at one. Yesterday, after calling 4 different places... we visited one place, that happened to be the closest to us, a known establishment, and offered part-time infant care. The lady there wrote us up a quote... and it looks like we'll be getting a discount because of our employer, and if we only have him in there 3 days a week, the price will feel a lot less like a mortgage payment (which we were afraid of). It looks like a safe place... and they seem to keep a good eye on all the rooms, so I felt as good about a daycare as I could. Of course, I would prefer to stay home with my kid forever, but, bills must be paid... and money must be saved up for a house and other things. I cannot imagine having to depend on someone else's income... maybe one day I will be able to live with that concept... but for now... I want to enjoy motherhood AND a career.

100 more days until junior's due date!!!!

Tuesday, January 06, 2004

Dunno why... but shopping for maternity clothes is SOOOOOOO FUN and addictive!!!! So far, the pants I've bought are a little big... but I am pretty sure they'll be a decent fit later. I just couldn't wait till I got bigger to get some shopping done.

CONGRATS to my friends AMY and NATE on their brand new son!!!! This is so exciting!!!!!

Some people suck. I can't imagine being a brainless twit my whole life and being okay with it.... guess if I was one, I wouldn't know the difference.

FINALLY! After having ordered a month ago... my Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD and shirt that I bought for Grant are here! I LOVE MEATWAD!

Watched a Japanese subtitled movie last night called "Suicide Club" ... it was a really really strange movie... it looked like they were going to explain why things were happening, but strayed far from that unfortunately. I'm not sure if I'd have to understand Japanese culture better to understand it... or if I just somehow missed the point.
