Friday Five

1. What are your favorite ways to relax and unwind?
Sleep, pampering myself (pedicure/manicure), showering, listening to music, playing on the computer, daydreaming... etc

2. What do you do the moment you get home from work/school/errands?
Greet Chris, kick off my shoes, go check my email and/or play my current addictive game, change clothes.

3. What are your favorite aromatherapeutic smells?
I love ocean and beach type scents... and in particular, I love sniffing my bottle of Ocean Dream... it's the best!

4. Do you feel more relaxed with a group of friends or hanging out by yourself?
It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to get away by myself... even go to clubs or bars by myself which is something I used to think I'd never be able to get myself to do without having other people with me. I like being alone at a bookstore...I like driving around by myself or with someone. When I'm in a social mood, I prefer hanging out with a group of people, large or small... as long as we can all agree on the places we go to.

5. What is something that you feel is relaxing but most people don't?
Listening to music really loud in the car and driving fast at the same time.

Friday Five

1. Would you say that you're good at keeping in touch with people?
I'm about average... it all depends on how busy I am and if I am needing alone time or not.

2. Which communication method do you usually prefer/use: e-mail, telephone, snail mail, blog comments, or meeting in person? Why?
Instant Messaging and in person... IM'ing because you don't have to wait as long as you would for email or snail mail... and some thoughts are just easier to get across by typing. Meeting in person because... well... being social is human, and I enjoy being able to interact with people without a bunch of cyberspace in between...

3. Do you have an instant messenger program? How many? Why/why not? How often do you use it?
Yes I do... MSN/Yahoo/AIM/ICQ - I use it because it's easier to keep in contact with some of my friends and coworkers. I use it everyday at work, and rarely from home.

4. Do most of your close friends live nearby or far away?
Depends on what you consider nearby... but most of my friends in general live in the same metroplex or the same state. :)

5. Are you an "out of sight, out of mind" person, or do you believe that "distance makes the heart grow fonder"?
I believe distance does make the heart grow fonder... but that's not always a good thing -- there's only so much I can stand of not being with my friends or loved ones in person... that's why I am also an out of sight, out of mind person.

Friday Five

1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why?
It's a toss-up between astronomy, orchestra, and dance. Astronomy because I've always been curious about other planetary systems and the possibility of other lifeforms. Orchestra was fun because it let me express my musical and emotional side. Dance because it made me feel strong and coordinated, and in a way, more feminine. Hmm... my gifted english/history combo class in my freshman year is a close second. We got to lay around and watch movies plenty... the teaching style was definitely different, and seemed more beneficial.

2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
Mrs. Joann Davis.. my sixth grade teacher. She was my favorite because she believed in me and I got the best grades in the world in her class. And surprisingly, she still remembers me.

3. What is your favorite memory of school?
The football games... orchestra the concerts, trips, and competitions... being around my best friend...

4. What was your favorite recess game?
Soccer, basketball, and attempting gymastics stunts in the grass.

5. What did you hate most about school?
The lighting, homework, MAJOR projects that weren't fun to do. TESTS...etc...etc.

Random Shiznit

As much as I dislike ranting so much... I just had to say................... doncha hate it when someone hints to you about something in order to make you ASK them about it instead of just coming right out and telling you? This is only annoying when it pertains to certain situations...

Friday Five

1. What is your biggest pet peeve? Why?
When people SMACK, slurp, hum, or chew with their mouths open and make all kinds of grotesque sounds when they eat in public (and especially if they let their kids eat that way, too)... heck, I don't even like it when I'm at someone's house and they do that.... OH... and when SLOW DRIVERS get in the FAST LANE. Oh, and I'd have to agree with Amy on the thing about overly large people wearing stuff that's too tight or unflattering on them... there are just some things that aren't meant to fit well on us big girls and guys. One last thing... I can't stand it when I'm at a store (like Wal-Mart or some grocery store), and you run into some family with what looks like more kids than they can afford to feed, and they let their little ones run all over the place, especially right in front of you, and play with the merchandise and don't do a darn thing to stop them or teach them any public mannerisms -- and on top of it all, they also usually walk soooooooooo slow in front of you, you almost wanna reach out and check their pulse.

2. What irritating habits do you have?
I pop my knuckles sometimes. I drive too fast. I sweat the small sh*t too much.

3. Have you tried to change the irritating habits or just let them be?
I've tried to change the part about not worrying so much about every little thing... but I can already tell it's going to be a lifelong challenge.

4. What grosses you out more than anything else? Why?
Tough one to answer... child molestors I guess? Need I explain why they gross me out? Also... it grosses me out when I happen to overhear some really unhealthy looking overweight people talking about food, especially unhealthy, greasy, artery clogging food... don't ask me why... it's just gross imagining them stuffing their faces with it. Yes.. I know I am not one to talk, but still, it bothers me. I'm sure someone would be grossed out by me if I was talking loud enough about food with no disregard for my health and looking like a potential heart attack victim.

5. What one thing can you never see yourself doing that other people do?
Being absolutely normal, listening to top 40 music on a regular basis... that, and eating escargo (snails).

HECK YEAH

SWEETNESS!!!!! Audi has a new convertible that looks a heck of a lot less goofy than the TT convertible... the all new 2003 A4 Cabriolet!!!... They've got a 220hp 3.0L V6 version that I must get my hands on... they haven't released the pricing of the vehicle yet... but I betcha anything it's outta my range. Gotta start saving my allowance now so that I'll *maybe* be able to afford it sometime this decade. :P Nah... I probably won't ever get one, but I wouldn't mind checking one out sometime. :)
