Comfortable Feet at Last
This weekend I finally got some shoe shopping done. I haven't bought shoes in a LONG while (for a woman), and I was definitely in need of more comfortable and seasonal shoes. I checked out Dillard's for a while and didn't really find anything I liked.. and then I stopped by Naturalizer to see what they had. I never bought shoes from them before but they always looked like a halfway decent shoe store. So.. after trying one plain jane loafers, and a few other types of shoes, I settled on two pairs. Nothing extravagant... just practical... for my needs.
First... I picked these lace up boots because the leather was supposedly "weatherproof", and the inside was so wonderfully soft and forgiving on my feet. They'll go with my jeans and other casual outfits. When I wear boots like this, it makes it so much easier to walk around because I don't feel like my foot is going to suddenly slip or that I'm going to sprain my ankle in a freak accident. Too bad I can't wear them with everything.
Second pair... I bought these dressy shoes because I always have to have a pair of open-toed sandal type shoes. They don't make me look old, and they're fun to wear, and they're sexy. They'll go with some dresses and skirt type clothes. To my surprises, these babies were ULTRA comfortable for dress shoes. I think it has something to do something with the type of padding they use for the bottom of the shoes... double layered or whatever. If I had enough money and storage space... I think a nice percentage of my money would be spent on shoes. Sometimes I love shoes so much that I'd rather just buy them to display them in my house somewhere... shoes can be like art and eye candy. They can be so sexy. The only thing sucky about shoes is when you wear them... because they immediately become used and begin the process of wearing out. Even some of the nicest and most expensive shoes start to show their age after a while, no matter how well you take care of them. Anyway... now I need a pair of shoes I can wear with slacks for the days I actually wear more business-y type clothes. :)
