What a Sales Tactic...

Grrr.. today I decided to check out @Home's website for employment info only to run into a Flash entry page that took about 30-40 seconds to load noticed how they cleverly implanted the phrase under the word "Loading":

"If you were using @Home broadband, this webpage would have already loaded."



Bah! They didn't even have the courtesy to provide a skip intro link or an HTML version for us stone-age modem users such as myself. Oh well, I get the point that broadband is the way to go, but I still despise unnecessary Flash intros or layouts no matter how fast they load...with a few exceptions. :P

I just thought @Home was pushing it a little by leaving no other option to dial-up visitors... it was just a tiny annoyance, that's all. It felt like someone forcing you onto a racetrack with a bunch of fast moving Formula-1 racecars while you're stuck in a slowass Ford Aspire with no way out, not even an emergency lane.
