Can You Believe This???

The picture above is not of women, not even young women... these are our youth, our younger sisters -- MINORS people! What the heck are they looking like that for?

I really don't like to talk about other personal websites too much, but sometimes people have entries about certain things that make me feel a little concerned. Nay announced that she was going to start modeling through a company called PlanetGirlCo.

At first I didn't think anything of it, but then I thought about it and figured people would probably talk about it on her bulletin board. So I took a look at the thread about this and realized many people were very concerned because they took a look at the website and noticed that many of the girls were young and dressed a little too provocatively, and also posing a bit too suggestively. Her readers mainly felt it was a bit too fishy and inappropriate. After looking at some of the portfolios on their site, I felt the same way. I'd be terrified if my 12-17 year old daughter was hiking up her skirt or wearing skimpy clothes for modeling pictures.

A few examples I gathered:

Gold Teddy - this girl is technically not even 16 yet

Silver Front - eek!

Ralph Lauren - no way

Blue Bikini - can't even drive a car yet, honey

12 year old CHILDREN should not dress like that!

Tubes - this CHILD is younger than my youngest sister who is in HIGH SCHOOL

I must say I am truly disturbed... I know it's not porn or whatever, but it still disgusts me to see it. Even if PlanetGirlCo is a legitimate modeling company, I don't know why they couldn't tone down the clothing and posing for the children under 18. I hope after Nay checks them out a little further or starts working for them, we can find out if they are for real.

I realize that when you're in your teens that's usually when you've got the best figure you'll ever have, but I still think you don't need to grow up that fast in pictures.

Their site reminds me of a similarly shocking site that I found on Daign's site months ago.... UGGGHHHH... I'm so worried for today's teenagers! I think these people should stick to just hiring college aged people.
