An Odd Thank You

I just wanted to thank all the people out there who work the jobs that I don't want to work... I'm talking about all the service jobs that don't pay nearly enough most of the time... I realize minimum wage is finally on the rise, and that's bumping up wages for most of those jobs, but that kind of money still seems way too hard to live on.

I'm sure many of the people out there working for $6/hr have somehow learned to manage their money and still make it just fine. I, on the other hand, am very bad at personal money management, therefore I rely and hope on getting jobs that pay more, so I don't have to learn how to budget. I know one day being like this will eventually bite me in the butt unless I gain some self-control and just start focussing -- but until then, no $6/hr jobs for me.

Imagine if everyone else was the way I was and only wanted to have higher paying jobs with little or no customer contact, who would be serving your fast food? Who would stock the store shelves, be your cashier, clean up all the trash lying around? That's why I'm grateful of the balance of things... how people kind of sift themselves into their own spot, and it makes the world go round.
