Eat this, riceboys!
Psst.. this is NOT a picture of mine... it's from Beaterz.com.
Today while we were waiting at a long red light, Chris looked over and noticed a beat up ol Chevy minivan and told me to look at it -- I took a look, then looked some more... and began to crack up so bad. It was sooooooo funny (well to me it was); I could not stop laughing.I was going to take a picture but another car was in the way so you wouldn't have been able to see it. So picture this... it's a tannish brown beat up looking Chevrolet minivan but the owner of it decided to cut open the top front portion of it so that it looked like a targa top! A Chevy T-TOP Minivan! I thought that alone was so funny and clever. Then I looked at it some more and noticed that they also had 2 black racing stripes going up and down the length of the car! You know.. like some Dodge Vipers have? And on the windshield, there was a a big red Chevrolet sticker! And to top it all off, this very silly person added a sporty spoiler to the back of the car.
Man, you had to be there to truly experience how funny it was. It was almost sarcastic! I wish I could have pulled up by the driver to ask them if it was a joke, but if it weren't, I'd feel like a real jerk for asking the question. I'm sure there have been a good handful of people who have done it as a joke already, but that had be one of the most original ones I've seen. I've seen racing stripes on a Ford Aspire, for goodness sake, and I figured that had to be a joke, too.
Anyway, in a way I think it was a good thing they did that. It shows those people that have modified their cars unnecessarily how stupid their car probably looks to other people. I'm talking about the people who think adding racing stripes to your car gives you an extra 50 horses...
Ahh, what I would pay to find that t-top van again to take a picture of it. I wish I could have a collection of hilariously modified cars, but around here there aren't enough creative people. ;P
