Barbra Blah



Friday night, I took a nap in the evening and woke up hearing Barbra Streisand sing her heart out during the encore presentation of her last on-stage performance on Fox -- "Timeless"... I know many people probably love her to death.. but personally, I was never able to like her music or singing, and also sometimes she comes off a little too full of herself. Let me give you a couple examples:

One: During her wedding, she sang a song -- and ended up making a CD out of it.

Two: During her performance on Timeless, she told a little story before she started singing a song.... I probably don't have it quoted right.. but I'll try my best to paraphrase it. She said that one day she was inside a cab, and she heard this girl sing a song... and I think she said it was a beautiful song... and she thought to herself, "Why didn't I ever record that?" (that was conceited enough)... and then she proceeded to ask her manager or whoever was with her about the girl that was singing that song... and he answered to her... "Why...that's you"...She realized she had forgotten ever having recorded the song... blah blah blah.. and eventually started singing that song. Anyway... to me that's just... I don't want to say it... well.. okay I will... it's obnoxious! *ducks*.

Am I wrong to be slightly annoyed with people when they act a little too full of themselves? I hope not... and again... I'm SORRY if you're a Streisand fan... without you, how could she pay for her lovely lifestyle?
