So I've spent some time away from the computer, and then in the past couple days I've been on the computer a lot more again. Chris and I both. We played EQ tag team style and got ourselves through a very slow level 53, and finally got to 54 last night before the servers went down. Man, it was a lot of hard work, and sleeping odd hours. 6 hours playing while the other napped - 2 hours napping - switch places - 3 hours playing while the other napped - 4 hours napping - 8 hours playing while the other napped... rinse and repeat... all the way to 54. At last!

I don't think going up a level every 3 months is very productive, but man that game just eats up your time if you're not careful.

Unrelated to EQ: I just wanted to say that Julie is such an awesome girl! She is so down to earth, and I love how she doesn't follow certain trends that many other webmistresses follow these days. She doesn't constantly blog about a bunch of people's personal websites or succumb to the whole fansign fascination. I can totally relate to her on many levels. Julie speaks about real life, herself, current issues, and she's got a brain when it comes to politics. She doesn't have to dress skimpy, talk like a hoochie-mama or act like a bubbly and confused little girl to get attention. Her demeanor almost commands a respectful audience, and I admire that so much. I'm glad she doesn't have a cookie-cutter site, and I'm glad she seems so honest about herself. Why can't girls just be themselves?

What's up with all these hoopty girl sites lately? Maybe I've just been surfing the wrong ones, but a lot of them are starting to look the same, and they all blog about the same stuff most of the time. They bitch, or try to act like tough girls, and the rest of the stuff they ever talk about is how "so and so has a new layout" or "give mad props to my lady so and so" or just constantly talking about each other's sites like it's actually content.

I know I may sound like a walking contradiction on the content part, but if you took the time to read some of those types of sites, you can tell who's genuine, and who is full of it.

And if you've got a problem with anything I just said, you probably took it personally because you probably view yourself that way. This has just been in the back of my mind lately after discovering so many similar sites, and after visiting them I went to Julie's site and realized what type of sites I DO like, and what type of girls I respect.
