Car Show

Yay! Yesterday, Chris and I went to my very first car show, the Dallas Auto Show at the Dallas Convention Center. It was pretty useful since we are considering buying a second car right now. We're going to need one once we move to Dallas anyway.

The car show wasn't one of those really crazy ones where you would see a whole bunch of bizarre concept cars, but they did manage to sneak in a few of those as well as some of the more expensive sports cars like a Ferrari and a Lamborghini.

We had an opportunity to try out the interior in many cars, and of all the ones we tried... the Audi's were the most incredibly comfortable and had awesome interiors! The ones we sat in were extremely ergonomic. The seats were part regular leather, and part suede. The prices ranged from $24,000 to $72,000 and all the engines were pretty sweet. I know we could technically buy one, but if we ever had to pay for any repairs... it'd kill us! We even got to sit in the type of Audi that was used in the movie Ronin .. the A8, I think. That was the one that was $72k. In the movie, there was a chase scene that Chris and I watched several times over, and it made the car look so kick ass. The engine sounded so sexy and European. It's just perfect.. but so unaffordable at this time. :P

Among other cars we really enjoyed...

- The Volvo S40 felt just right for us.
- The BMW 330Ci (0-60 in 6.4.. not too bad)
- The BMW M3 Convertible.. super sweet.. but not worth $54k.. ick.
- The Audi S4 was very awesome.
- The Infinity I30 wasn't bad at all.. nifty interior.

Check out Edmunds for better specs on these cars.

Well.. now my feet are killing me. I walked around there with heels... ack... *kicks off shoes*
