For the past 3 days... I have encountered many references to the whole "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US" phrase and it was RickySilk of Kungfoo.com who first mentioned it to me. He ran into my site searching for Pimpwar tips and ended up chatting with me for a bit and that's when I first heard the phrase.
Coincidentally, the same day, I visited MemePool and saw a few links to AYBABU enthusiast sites. I realized by then that it was probably some joke phrase or private joke gone public.
Yesterday, I dropped by Julie's site and read through some of her message board posts. Then I saw it again! Julie herself exclaimed the infamous phrase. A few of the message board members didn't know what it was all about, and one of the users (uziq) presented a very helpful link to an article that explains the madness.

Oh, and then today, I went into my manager's office to sign some papers, and I looked at his dry erase board, and AGAIN, saw the geeky phrase:
ALL YOUR BASE BELONG TO US!
Stop it! Stop the madness! I dunno... maybe I'm just not geeky enough to find it funny that Japanese to English translations could be so corky.
