Augh.. Yesterday, I spent my morning lazily in bed (well mainly cuz I went to bed at like 5 in the morning), and I vaguely remembered that the TV was on. At some time, my eyes were a little open, and I noticed that Cybill Sheperd was on some show, and I had never seen her on daytime television before. I remember Chris asking me what that show was. I told him I had no idea, and fell back to sleep.
Later on that day, while I was at work, I was doing my daily surfing and went to EQVault and saw a little article that mentioned that Everquest was mentioned on TV that day on a show called Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus -- with Cybill Sheperd! I was stupified! I can't believe I missed it. The show yesterday was entitled, "Is he married to ME...or his computer?" and apparently it the husband was addicted to Everquest, and it caused problems in their relationship. I immediately went to the Mars/Venus website and checked for any video clips, and all they had was a promotional one to advertise the segment, but no mention of Everquest. I just wanted to hear what they said. So I registered on their message board and there was already a post in there about Everquest from another player who had heard of the EQ "sighting." Well, now I'm just hoping I can get a transcript or a video clip of it because I want to hear how bad they made it sound.
I used to be a hardcore EQ addict in my first year of playing. As soon as I got home from work, I was on there playing until 8 in the morning.. everyday. Of course it caused some problems for Chris, but once I got over the addiction, things got better. Now we both enjoy taking turns playing it, and I can't wait to get a second computer so we can both play at the same time. :)
